A 7 day healthy holiday challenge that will make you feel good!  Are you in??

I am Healthy Life Coach.  I pride myself on doing things differently because the conventional way failed me for 22 years.

Plus, I’m not good at following rules…. or a crowd, especially when that crowd spends 61 billion on weight loss programs with a 95% failure rate.

As a certified Health & Lifestyle Coach, I have studied and understand human behavior so I know the secrets to creating real lasting change.  Not to mention, I have transformed my weight, my health, my marriage, and my life which all sucked for far too long.

Here’s a big secret.  Human beings want to feel good, and life is generally much simpler than we make it.

Diets don’t work because they make us obsessive, angry, rigid, hungry b*tches that no one wants to be around.

And counting calories, monitoring carbs, proteins, fats and weighing our food is an unnecessary science experiment that has led us no where fast. I mean seriously, we have completely overcomplicated the simple act of eating.

When you are eating the right foods, trust me, there is no need for ingredient labels or scientific calculations.

For a week I want you to stop complicating your life and start making choices that make you feel good.

Will you do that with me?

I am not going to throw the same old rule book at you.

I am not going to tell you to eat a meal before you go to a holiday party to make sure you don’t stuff your face with peanut butter balls.

I am not going to tell you that you can’t drink your wine, and enjoy the festivities.

You know all of those “rules,” and let’s be honest, none of them make you happy.

This approach has failed us countless times.  The sustainable approach is to focus on ADDING healthy behaviors that make you feel good!

“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”  Socrates.

So here is my simple plan to build the new.

I am calling it “The 4 for 7 Healthy Holiday Challenge.”  Starting on Monday, December 12, and going through Sunday, December 18, you commit to doing these 4 things every day.

  1. Drink half your weight in ounces of water.  Add fresh lemon, orange or grapefruit to spice it up. This will give you energy, increase your clarity and focus, and make your skin glow.
  2. Eat plants at every meal.  This means you make an effort to eat a fruit, veggie, beans, nuts or seeds at every meal.  For instance a good breakfast would be a green smoothie, or oatmeal with raisins and walnuts.
  3. Spend 10 minutes quieting your mind.  This can be through meditation, prayer, or journaling. The focus is on gratefulness.
  4. Random act of kindness.  Tis the season to fight over car spaces at the mall, and give the finger to the person with the Trump or Clinton bumper sticker.  Seriously….Let’s commit to doing something kind for a stranger every day.  I don’t care if you pay them a compliment, lock eyes and give them a huge smile, or buy them a cup of coffee in the drive through at Starbucks.  You find a way to send positive energy someone’s way. We need more kindness in this world.  We find joy and feel fulfilled when we give and connect to others.

That is my challenge.  If you care to join us, I will be hosting it on a private Facebook page.  I will post things daily to keep you inspired and on track.  We can share our random acts of kindness and spread the joy amongst ourselves.  If you are in, click below and request access to this private group.
