I DISCOVERED THE SCANDAL
I spent 39 years battling weight and chronic health issues. I successfully lost weight on many occasions just to gain it all back again.
In high school I went on Richard Simmon's Deal a Meal diet and lost 12 pounds in 4 weeks. Great, right? Not so much, I gained it all back AND became a binge eater after that. Suddenly I was eating entire cakes!
I thought I made healthy choices for myself and my family because I followed America's dietary guidelines.
I remember feeling like a blowfish. Like my entire body was puffy and inflamed. My shoulders are so broad that with extra weight I felt like I would burst out of my shirts like David Banner turning into the Hulk. I shudder at the thought of my jeans digging into my gut, and having to shop for larger sizes. I admired sleeveless dresses and shirts on other woman and thought "I could NEVER wear that!" I considered myself a smart, successful person, but I couldn't get it right when it came to my weight...
Then, after taking 2 nutrition classes at a very reputable institute here in Dallas, my life changed forever. But not for the reason you'd think.
Looking back those nutrition classes were laughable, a complete joke. They didn't teach me anything new. They affirmed the same old dieting rules that had not worked for me, or anyone else in this country.
So for the first time in my life, I started to question America's nutrition guidelines. I did research, I read books, articles, more books, more articles, and watched documentaries.
What I learned educated me, infuriated me, and empowered me all at once.

I understand that this is about changing to a healthier lifestyle but I hate cooking!
Do you really hate cooking? Or is it more about the fact that you don't know how? This is a mindset issue, not a skill issue. I cover mindset change in the course to tackle these limiting beliefs. First mindset lesson right now. Growth is about learning and doing new things. Don't you admire people that can create delicious meals for family and friends? Is this not a skill that would greatly benefit you, not to mention bring you closer to the people you love? Don't fear cooking, embrace it, it gets easier. You just need to try!
The grocery store overwhelms me!
I get it. But grocery shopping is not a big deal. It is like starting a new job. You have no idea what you are doing at first, but after a few months, it is old hat. It gets easier, it will not always be overwhelming. Are you really willing to give up your health because a grocery store overwhelms you? I would much rather tackle a grocery store than a chronic disease.
I really want to make changes but my family (husband and kids)don't support it!
This is a tough one. I find it with many of my married clients. Husbands can be such a pain in the butt, and many can sabotage efforts to bring a healthier lifestyle into the home. All I can say is this. The way we eat and live in this country is making us terribly sick and fat. It is VERY expensive to be sick, not to mention what it costs from a quality of life perspective. And you cannot escape a bad diet. It WILL catch up to you. Genetics may load the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger. Your husband is resistant based on his beliefs, and how he grew up. If you let his way of living rule, your kid's will most likely adopt the same way of living, eating and thinking. I ask you this, are your in-laws healthy people? Chances are your husband will follow their lead, but worse, because our food is more toxic than it was for his parents' generation. And right now, this generation of children (our kids!) is predicted to be the first to live shorter lives than their parents. And you can bet that their quality of life will suffer more too. Right now, one in every three children born after the year 2000 is predicted to develop diabetes. I can honestly say that my children will not be a statistic because they know that how they eat and live determines their health, and they are empowered with this knowledge. They will take responsibility for their health and life, because I DO. I suggest taking the course, and taking charge of your life. I suggest being compassionate with your family, but making it very clear that this is important. "Be the change you wish to see in the world." As you make change, your kids will see you happier and healthier. This is powerful for them to see. Health is life. I recommend a number of documentaries in this course, and you can watch them with your family. Neither of us can make someone want to change, we can only inspire change by making the change within ourselves. Our Facebook group page will be a good support system for you, as I will be on there regularly, and others will undoubtedly be tackling the same issues. .
I have been eating like this my entire life!
Yeah, well, join the club. That means that you have not been living fully for all of these years. You should not wait another minute, you have wasted enough time not being the best version of you!
I don't want to spend the money. It is a lot! I should be able to do this myself.
First major point. Have you priced chronic disease lately? Paying less than $600 to LEARN how to be healthy, and have a better life, is nothing compared to the cost of disease (financial costs are only the half of it). Everyone eating the Standard American Diet eventually gets sick (doctor visits, prescriptions, hospital visits, amputations, heart attacks, strokes, cancer, alzheimers, mental illness). What are those costs to you? Healthcare in America has skyrocketed because no one knows how to be healthy. Those costs are increasing. Secondly, then why haven't you? Yes, you could do this all on your own. You could spend years reading books, magazines, periodicals, scouring the internet etc. Or you can take my short cut where I have done the work for you. I will also say this. When I first started out as a health coach, I did everything for free. I honestly just wanted to help people. My husband's favorite line to me was "Cindy, do you want to save the world, or make some money?" My response, was "both." What I learned was that the clients (mostly friends) that got me and my resources for free were not vested in any outcome, therefore they did not value the experience or do the work. Those that paid the MOST money, actually did the work, made life changes, and valued everything about the experience. The more the cost means to you, the more vested you are in attaining the outcome. Any resistance to cost is more about your fear of not following through. I have made numerous investments in myself, and online courses. I understand the initial fear. There were times, I did not move forward, and that was just it, I stayed right where I was. Every time I did pull the trigger, I moved forward, gained momentum and confidence by just making the commitment. Action gets us unstuck and money motivates, that is the bottom line.

Do we get all of the modules at once?
No, they come to you once a week. So the course takes 5 weeks. This is so you are not overwhelmed with information.
How long will the modules take me?
The modules will take you between 1 and 1.5 hours a week. They are Keynote presentations with voice over. None are more than 20 minutes. If you are visual you can watch them, or you can just listen in your car, on your way to work, at your child's practice, or while getting dressed and putting your makeup on! I made this easily consumable and accessible for the busy person.
Is this a diet? Do you tell me what to eat, and give me meal plans?
I provide 10 delicious recipes. But no, I do not tell you what to eat. Instead, I teach you what foods are best for optimal health.

YES! This program is perfect for 15 years of age and up. I actually think the younger generation would EAT THIS UP. Why? Because they are more open minded than us older folk, and they are not so set in their ways. I have always said, that a person who cares about the health of their body, is much less apt to abuse it with alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and sex. Yes, I promote a deep respect for the body, and that respect results in proper care for it. I want to teach young women to love, respect, and nourish themselves in ways that few people do. How we treat ourselves, is how we are inviting the world to treat us. My program, in the hands and minds of a teen is a powerful tool for change. They will be empowered, inspired and educated in ways they have never been before. I recognize this may be a sensitive issue between mom and daughter, I am happy to do a free 30 minute consult to discuss the best approach. I would want your daughter to WANT to do this program, and I think I could get her excited about it. I would recommend mom do the program too, so that you are on board with what she is learning.
