You know life’s secrets are really not secrets at all.  They are more like common sense.  But we have forgotten how to think, we’ve been brainwashed to believe everything we hear, and we leave little time for critical thinking.

Take food for example.  We are the only mammal on this planet that does not seem to know what it should eat to be healthy.  Why is it instinctual for other animals, yet the one’s with brains designed for reasoning and thinking, are the one’s who have no clue?  Not only that, we seem determined to self destruct.

“If you are thinking like everyone else, then you are not really thinking.”

I spent 22 years trying to lose weight and increase my health.  And it wasn’t until I questioned everything that I thought I knew, that I found the answers.  You see, the genius Einstein was of course, correct when he said:

“You will never solve a problem with the same thinking that created that problem.”

Looking back, what I thought was a lack of willpower, or a genetic predisposition for a slow metabolism and a “large frame,” was nothing more than beliefs based on no evidence whatsoever.  I held on tightly to those beliefs without even knowing that they were part of the problem.  I would go on and off diets.  I successfully lost weight on many occasions, just to gain it all back.  I did this for 22 freaking years!  What a waste of the prime of my life…

The problem was, I did not understand human behavior, nor did not ever question conventional advice.  That is, until I turned 39.

Today, at 47 years old, I feel stronger, smarter, sexier, more inspired, and more powerful than I ever have in my life.  My passion is to share what I learned with others so that they do not waste another day searching for something that they will only find inside of themselves.

The truth is, our nutrition advice sucks.  It is a bunch of lies.  I cannot even begin to tell you all the facts.  Let’s just say that Erin Brockovich is 100% right when she says:

“Truthful, factual information empowers.  Lies and misinformation kill.”

That is the real reason why 70% of our country is overweight, half of our children have a chronic health condition, 50% of us suffer from one or more chronic disease, and 1 in 3 of us will develop cancer.  It is NOT our genetics, it is NOT a lack of willpower, and it is NOT that we are gluttons.  We are grossly mislead, and totally uninformed.  We have a culture based in diets and disease, we are not a culture based in education or health.

And here is the thing about me.  I am not satisfied with this culture.  I am not satisfied with these statistics, in fact, they piss me off.  And I have made it my life’s mission to educate, inspire and empower women to change their lives, and their children’s future.  Because here is the honest to God truth.  ONLY informed, inspired and powerful women can change this mess.  And right now, we desperately need more women who are willing to step up and make a difference.  The best way to change the world, is to change yourself, and your family.  Make no mistake, when you stop thinking of what you eat in terms of a number on the scale or a size of your jeans, you find something with far greater purpose.

So let’s be clear.  You don’t need a different diet.  You need a different mind.  And my gift, my passion, my devotion is to share an enlightening perspective that will open new doors in your mind and your life.

It is hard to be overweight, unhealthy and unfulfilled. And it is hard to do the work required to transform our lives. You get to choose which hard you want to live with.

That being said. Never, ever underestimate the power of a shift in thinking. Where suddenly the impossible becomes possible. Where fear is replaced with courage. Where excuses are replaced with determined action. Where defeat turns into commitment. Where complacency, turns into intention.
